The short version

Ghost entries are end-to-end encrypted on your device. We cannot read them. Nobody can. Your grades and logs belong to you, are never sold, and can be deleted entirely at any time. We collect the minimum needed to run the app.

What we collect

Your email address, your account settings (pillars, weights, goals), your daily logs and grades, and standard diagnostics like crash reports. If you connect a fitness or finance app, we store only the completion signal — done or not done — never the underlying data.

What we never collect

The content of Ghost entries, in any form. Location. Contacts. Advertising identifiers. We do not run third-party ad or tracking SDKs.

How Ghost encryption works

Ghost entries are encrypted on your device with a key derived from your passcode. The key never leaves your device and is never transmitted to Simplify1. What reaches our servers — when you back up — is ciphertext we have no ability to decrypt. If you lose your passcode, we cannot recover Ghost entries. That is the design, not a limitation.

Who sees your grade

Nobody, unless you choose a witness or join a competition. A witness sees the letter grade only — never items, never entries. Leaving a competition removes your history from it.

Deleting your data

Delete your account in Settings, or email us. Everything is removed from our systems within 30 days, backups included.
